Oputa’s Burial: Charly Boy Seized Microphone From Priest, Stopped Okorocha From Speaking In Church
The funeral service for late Justice Chuwudifu Oputa, the father of area fada Charly Boy who passed away few weeks ago ended abruptly yesterday when his son, Charly Boy stopped Imo state Goveror Rocas Okorochas from making a speech for the deceased.
Okorocha, who was equally angry that protocol was breached by President Goodluck Jonathan who was represented at the mass by the Secretary of the Government of Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim by speaking before him, rose to make his speech but Charly Boy seized the microphone from the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Ike, which created confusion in the church.

A homeless man who found a baby girl in a bin is raising the youngster as his own.
Xiong Jianguo, 50, found his adopted daughter Yanyan seven years ago in Nanchang City, in China’s southeastern Jiangxi Province.
The pair now live under a bridge, and despite their difficult circumstances Jianguo is teaching Yanyan to read and write.

BREAKING NEWS: 10 Killed As Bomb Blast Rocks Brothel In Bauchi
An explosion in the red light district of Bauchi city has killed 10 people and injured 14 others, police said Saturday.
The cause of the late Friday blast was not immediately clear, but Boko Haram Islamists have attacked Bauchi repeatedly during their five-year uprising aimed at creating a strict Islamic state in the north.
Bauchi state police spokesman Mohammed Haruna said the targeted building in the Bayan Gari neighbourhood on the outskirts of the city was widely known as a brothel.
“Ten people were confirmed dead, while 14 others sustained various degrees of injury,” Haruna said, adding that the explosion went off at roughly 10:00 pm (2100 GMT).

President Jonathan Visits The Site Of Abuja Mall Bomb Blast, Victims In Hospital
President Goodluck Jonathan visited the site of a deadly bombing in the capital Abuja on Friday after cutting short an African Union engagement to meet victims of the attack blamed on Boko Haram.
Jonathan visited the Emab Plaza in central Abuja where a bomb blast killed at least 21 people on Wednesday and later went to a hospital where victims were being treated, describing the worsening Islamist insurgency as “one of the darkest phases in the history” of Nigeria.

Six people including a lawyer and three junior secondary students reportedly died at Aji, Enugu Ezike, Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, when a Mercedez 230 Saloon car reportedly skidded off the road and rammed into a crowd of people at a popular junction in the area.
Sources told Saturday Vanguard that the incident occurred, Wednesday evening, adding that the late lawyer who was identified as Ugochukwu Atigwe, was the son of the former Deputy Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Chief David Atigwe.
